Membership Benefits

Full / Joint 7 day Membership

A full membership at Basset Down Golf Course will entitle the member/s to 7 days a week free golf. This is offered with no restrictions except for access to the course during competitions / societies.

5 Day Membership

This new membership is offered from Monday to Friday from 0800 – 1700. It will entitle the member to play golf free during this time. This is offered with no restrictions except for access to the course during competitions / societies.

Free ‘Guest’ Vouchers

Full 7 day Members will be issued with 5 vouchers for guests for use during the current membership year. These can be exchanged for 9 or 18 holes, during the week or at weekends.

5 day Members will be issued with 2 vouchers for guests for use during the current membership year. These can be exchanged for 9 or 18 holes, during the week between the hours of 0800 – 1700.

Please note: These vouchers will only be accepted when used by a guest accompanying a member.

English Golf Union / Wiltshire County Golf Union

Membership includes the annual affiliation costs associated with becoming members of the above recognised bodies. (Men and Ladies as appropriate). These fees will be paid over to the above bodies on members’ behalf by Basset Down Golf Course. These costs are often charged in addition to a normal membership fee

Handicapping Facility

All members will be entitled to apply for a handicap from Basset Down Golf Course. This will be issued in accordance with and guidance of the Council of National Golf Unions (CONGU).

Advanced Tee Bookings

All Members of Basset Down Golf Course will be offered the opportunity to book their tee times in advance. This facility is ONLY available to members.

Tee Bookings can be made by telephone from 7 days to 24 hours in advance.

Every third tee slot daily will be made available for members to pre-book. This will enable 4 groups of members to pre-book each hour. The remaining slots will be left open to our ‘Pay and Play customers’.

Membership of the Basset Down Driving Range Loyalty Scheme

Those members who do not already hold one will be issued with a Driving Range Loyalty Card. These cards can be loaded with money (minimum of £5.00) for use on the Driving Range.

The card entitles its holder to approximately 20% discount on standard range ball prices

Wiltshire County Golf Union County Card
 

Purchase of these cards can be made by a member with a handicap. The card offers the opportunity to play 160 courses in seven surrounding counties for less than half price. Please ask at reception for further details.

Members’ Competitions

As part of the membership Basset Down Golf Course will run a minimum of 4 qualifying competitions for handicapping purposes between April and October inclusive.

Details of competitions will be posted on the members’ notice board in the clubhouse

IMPORTANT: If a member pre-books a tee time and fails to use this slot or arrives late on three occasions during one membership year they will be banned from pre-booking for the remainder of the membership year. There will be no exceptions made to the rule. Cancellations are to be made by telephone to the club no less than 4 hours prior to the pre-booked time.
