Putting Masterclass - 28th June - 04/06/2018

Looking to make the most of the warmer weather on the golf course, but your putting is letting you down? PGA Professional, Lee Hayward from Swindon Premier Golf Academy, has some handy tips to help you keep your game sharp and lower those scores.

  1. Eyes over the ball – it’s really important when putting to get your posture correct, so that your eyes are directly over the ball. This simple trick can significantly help you see the line of the putt more consistently and make a better stroke.
  1. Head still – especially during the short putts! A useful tip from me is to keep your head still, at least until the ball has got 5 feet away from your putter or on short putts listen to the ball drop. Through experience a lot of short putts are missed with players lifting their heads or rotating their body.
  1. Use putting drills - when practicing, I see too many players not using drills and recreating bad faults. Using specific putting drills will make you repeat a good putting technique and improve your stroke consistency.

Don’t miss out on Lee’s putting master class on Thursday 28th June at 18:15. Discounts available for members. More details can be found below.
