Preparing for the coming 2016 Golf Season with Ian Bolt
Well what a winter so far, rain, rain, rain and not a lot of golf being played.
Here at Basset Down Golf Club we fair much better than many of our local clubs because of our exceptionally well drained course, but even we've had to close the course on the off day.
As golfers in this country, at this time of year, we are almost wishing our lives away. Waiting for the light nights and warmer temperatures to return.
In the meantime with hopefully just over two months left of this winter, we should be starting our preparation for the coming season.
Its the ideal time to make those important swing changes with your PGA coach. The cost of a series of lessons will be a small price to pay for better golf and lots more enjoyment from the coming season.
So the next two months is crucial preparation time. Here at Basset Down Golf Course we have a 20 bay flood lit (and more importantly in the cold - heated!) driving range which is a perfect environment to practice in the current temperatures.
