Easter Holidays - What's On at Basset Down? - 10/04/2017

Looking for something different to do as a family during the Easter holidays? Don't forget, we're more than just a golf course!

Based on the outskirts of Swindon, just a few minutes drive from J16 (M4), we also have a fully equipped driving range, fully licensed cafe and Swindon's only football golf course.

The Driving Range

If you haven't tried golf before, why not come along and give it a go on our 20-bay driving range? It's a great area for beginners to hit a few balls in a relaxed environment, and for those who have played before to practice their technique. If you'd like some help getting to grips with the game, our PGA Professional Ian Bolt is on hand throughout the week to give some handy tips and advice.

Don't worry if you don't have your own clubs as we have a lots of different types and sizes available that you can borrow for free (including those suitable for ladies and juniors).

Our driving range balls are available to buy in four different sized baskets (30, 60, 90 or 120 balls). If you sign up to our loyalty card scheme, you can also then get 10% off our standard prices for no extra cost.

Junior Easter Coaching:

Details of our three Junior Easter Coaching sessions are below. If you would like to sign up to one of these classes, please call us on 01793 812336 or email info@bassetdowngolfcourse.com

Football Golf Course

Football golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK at the moment, and is an ideal activity for the whole family! But what is it and how do you play? The aim of the game is to kick a football into a large hole on a green in the least amount of shots, using only your feet. Our scorecards tell you how many kicks you should be aiming for, and then you write down how many you actually took. The person with the least amount of total shots, wins!

You don't have to be an expert footballer or golfer to play, just be ready to have some fun! So, if you're looking to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air this Easter, come and visit our course. You can either bring your own football or hire one from us for £1 (different sizes available). Find out more at www.swindonfamilygolf.com

The Parkland Cafe

Overlooking the golf course, our fully licensed cafe is open to the public daily and offers a range of home cooked food, cakes and drinks. Our large patio is a popular place for people to relax during the warmer weather, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Wiltshire countryside. If you'd like to view our menu, please click here. We also have a separate children's menu to keep even the little ones taste buds happy!

9-Hole Golf Course

For those of you who have played golf before, our 9-hole golf course is open to all throughout the week, with last tee times currently between 17:30 - 18:00 (please check our daily status for specific times). You can either turn up on the day to play (please make sure that everyone in your group has their bag and set of clubs - if not, we do hire out sets too), or you can reserve a tee time via our online booking system. Make sure you keep an eye out for our special rates, as we do offer online exclusives.

NEW OFFER: Students over 16 years old are able to play for just £10.00 with valid student I.D. card anytime during the week or after 15:00 on the weekends.
