The Seniors Section at Basset Down has grown from strength to strength over the years, and is a very sociable group playing regularly in monthly Roll Ups & Stablefords.

What does the Seniors Section offer at Basset Down?
There's a regular 'Seniors Roll Up' which takes place on the first and third Tuesday of the month, with the first tee time at 09:30. All you need to do if you're interested in coming along (open to visitors too) is simply turn up on the day, and if you are worried about not holding a handicap, that won't matter initially.

Our Seniors also have an away day once a month from April to November which provides the opportunity to play other courses in the area. There are also matches against other clubs which are held roughly once a month throughout the summer. Other competitions for Seniors include, charity events and also a Senior Club Championship. Details of Seniors' fixtures and results can be found here

To qualify for the Senior Section, you need to be over the age of 55. If you're a new member of the club and are not quite sure whether or not you wish to get involved or have any questions, please see or email Graham Short, our Senior Organiser. If you're unsure of who Graham is, our staff will point you in his direction.

Email:, FAO Graham Short.
